Master thesis at the University of Basra on the synthesis of gold, silver and selenium nanoparticles using green chemistry and studying their biological activity

The Department of Chemistry at the College of Science discussed a master's thesis entitled (Synthesis of gold, silver and selenium nanoparticles using green chemistry and studying their biological effectiveness) by the student researcher Marwa Mohamed Nouri

The results reached confirmation of the biocompatible biocompatibility of the prepared nanoparticles and used in medical applications without side effects. It showed anti-oxidation activity against free radicals in the DPPH reagent and the PM reagent. The inhibition rate of IAV (NA) invitro increased with a clear increase in the concentration of nanoparticl.

The study recommend developing new antiviral therapies similar to pandemic influenza viruses such as COVID-19 and HIV using nanoparticles synthesized using green chemistry
