A master's thesis in the College of Science discusses the biodiversity of fish communities

A master's thesis in the Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra discussed the biodiversity of fish communities in the Western Hammar Marsh.

The researcher's thesis (Hisham Abdel-Sattar Jigan Hassan) showed the application of environmental evidence to assess the biodiversity of fish in the Marsh, the composition of the fish community, and the number of fish species in the Western Hammar Marsh.

The aim of the thesis was to know the biodiversity of the fish assemblages in the Hammar Marsh and the impact of environmental factors on the fish assemblies in the marsh to give a clear picture of the fish assemblies and to prepare a list of fish species in the marsh according to the division of "Tyler 1971" and to apply evidence of similarity and difference between the study stations.
