The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a workshop on plant lighting units from watts to photosynthesis radiation

The workshop aimed to explain the methods and devices used to measure the spectrum of plant metabolism.

The workshop, in which Dr. Abdel Moneim Hussein Ali, a lecturer in the Department of Ecology at the College of Science, included a description of the food spectrum and a comparison between the units used to measure light with the human eye and the units used to measure the light spectrum and methods of representing the spectrum with modern devices.

The workshop recommended the need to use modern devices for measuring the spectrum and its units that are currently used in research.
