Installing a device at the University of Basra - College of Science - Department of Physics

Within the framework of the scientific and cultural exchange between Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Installation team from Kashan University consisting of Prof Dr Mohammad Almasi Kashi (Full Professor), Dr Amir Montazer (Assistant Professor) and Mr Ali Kohpeyma (Electronic Engineer)  visited the Department of Physics in the College of Science for the purpose of installing and operating Vibrated Sample Magnetometer (VSM)
Where the University of Basra imported Vibrated Sample Magnetometer (VSM) from Iran

The device was installed in the Department of Physics in the College of Science - University of Basra.

And Dr.Hashim M. Jabbar stated that the device The Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM) is used to measure the magnetic properties of solids (powder or thin films) and liquids by finding hysteresis loop. The magnetometer measures magnetic moment as a function of an applied magnetic field  The device is also used in a measurement system to characterize magnetic properties like DC magnetization of nanomaterials to specify their applications in many fields like magnetism and spintronics, medical, environmental, chemical, geological,..etc

Dr Dr.Hashim M. Jabbar also added that the device is useful for exam samples for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
