The College of Science organizes a seminar on petroleum hydrocarbons in fruits and vegetables

The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a seminar on petroleum hydrocarbons in fruits and vegetables.

The seminar, in which a graduate student, Ayat Ammar Abdul-Jabbar, lectured, aimed at estimating petroleum hydrocarbon compounds in local fruits and vegetables in Basra Governorate and knowing their sources.

The seminar focused on shedding light on the dangers of industrial activities, especially oil, which lead to the production of hydrocarbons and their transmission to humans by eating fruits and vegetables containing hydrocarbons, which cause harm to human health.
