The College of Science organizes a seminar on identifying micro and nanoplastic pollution

The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a seminar on identifying micro and nanoplastic pollution in some liquefaction stations in the city of Basra.

The seminar, in which the master's student Donia Abd Ali Hussein, aims to reveal the presence of micro and nanoplastic materials in some liquefaction stations in the city of Basra.

The seminar dealt with how to treat these pollutants in the laboratory and the physical and chemical properties of liquefied water.

The study recommended leaving or reducing the use of dangerous plastic materials and replacing them with environmentally friendly materials by using only safe and recyclable plastic materials, and not throwing their waste into water bodies.
