The College of Science participated in planting a thousand seeds of mangrove trees as part of a strategy for planting and multiplying trees to confront climate changes and desertification throughout the country in general and Basra in particular, in cooperation with the Directorate of Basra Agriculture, the Basra Governorate Diwan and the Marine Science Center, under the supervision of Dr. Abd al-Ridha Akbar Alwan and Dr. Wedad Mizban Taher .
