A scientific study at the University of Basra examines the family of mouse spiders

A scientific study at the University of Basra prepared by the faculty member, Dr. Shurooq Abdullah Najm, at the College of Science, Ecology Department with a researcher from the University of Turku in Finland and a researcher from the University of Dhi Qar, searched for a new record of data belonging to the family of mouse spiders Gnaphosidae.

The study, which was published in the Journal of Evolutionary Systematics, classified within Scopus Q1 containers, showed that adding 6 species of spiders of the family Gnaphosidae to the fauna of land spiders in Iraq, where three genera and six species were described and were recorded for the first time in Iraq.
