The college of Science at the University of Basrah organized a seminar entitled (Cytological, Histological and Biochemical Aspects on Effect of Acrylamide on Pituitary and Thyroid glands in Experimental Rats) by the graduate student\ Alyaa Abbas Nadhim. The study aims, investigation the effect of (ACR) on histological structure of pituitary and thyroid glands and on some hormonal disturbance such as thyroid glands hormones (TSH &T4) and chromosomal aberrations and body weight and endocrine glands weight. And included the definition of Acrylamide and its presence in heat-treated foods such as (potatoes, bread and coffee), its       use in Industry and its toxic effect on the pituitary gland, Thyroid gland and bone marrow cells. And the study was recommended to  understand of (ACR) pathogenicity so variable pathways exposure experimentally was suggested such as subcutaneous or intraperitoneal  injection and with drinking water, Biochemical study was recommended to evaluate some pathophysiological parameters associated with (liver and kidney) functions and role of antioxidative enzymes such as malondialdehyde , catalase and glutathione (MDA,CAT,GPX), Molecular study to clarified the transcript expression of proteins related to pituitary  hormones synthesis ,studies recommended to determine the effect of (ACR) on other endocrine glands and visceral organs  (liver, spleen and stomach ).
