The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a scientific trip for the students of aquatic plants course to the Shatt Al-Arab. The trip included reviewing the reality of the plant biodiversity of the area and the presence of aquatic plants in the Shatt al-Arab. The students were briefed about the importance of plants to the environment and their great role in treating pollution and salinity in the waters of the Shatt al-Arab, and to know the extent of the deterioration of plants in this region and its causes. It is worth mentioning that the trip was under the supervision of the lecturer, Dr. Wedad Mizban Taher, accompanied by Professor Jihad.
