A lecturer at the College of Science participates in a workshop on the degradation of biodiversity

 

Dr. Shuruq Abdullah Najm, a teaching staff member at the Faculty of Science, Department of Ecology at the University of Basra, participated in a workshop on the deterioration of biodiversity in the East Hammar Marsh, its causes and treatments, which was held in the Department of Ecology at the Faculty of Science.

The participation included a lecture entitled "The Impact of Environmental Factors on Insect Diversity in the East Hammar Marsh".

The lecture included introducing the most important insect species present in the marsh environment and the impact of various factors such as pollution and population expansion and the difference in environmental factors such as lack of water, high temperature and salinity in the lack or absence of some of them
