The University of Basrah hold a seminar on using plant Phragmites australis

A seminar entitled using of plant Phragmites australis in environmental treatments hold at the College of Science, Department of  Ecology.

The presenter Ahmed Akeel Toa’ma explain the types of pollutants in wastewater using reed plants and sediments, and knowing the efficiency of the plant and its use as a bioaccumulator.

The seminar dealt with the explanation of environmentally sound technologies that improve environmental performance, including bioremediation, which uses living organisms such as plants, animals or microorganisms to remove the toxicity of pollutants from different environments.
