A seminar entitled the use of plant extracts as factors in the treatment of contaminated water hold at the College of Science, Department of Ecology .

 The presenter Ayat Khaled Salem explained the aims to study a number of local plants as a coagulant substance to treat contaminated water and test ideal conditions for the plant chosen for the coagulation process - flocculation - and applying the most efficient plant as a coagulant according to the results .

The study looked at the introduction of natural coagulation substances as alternative coagulation agents to replace the Traditional coagulant.

the seminar touched on the identification or measurement of physical, chemical and biological properties on the water samples treated and evaluated.
