A seminar entitled the assessment of changes in the water quality of the Al-Ashar Canal after its rehabilitation hold at The College of Science , Department of Ecology.

The presenter Adyan Ali Kahami explain the aim of the study which as study some physical, chemical and biological properties of the water of the Al-Ashar River Canal, one of the side branches that penetrate the city of Basra and comparing these previous characteristics and knowing the most important environmental pollutants that flow into this canal and what are their environmental effects on the living organisms in the canal.
