The College of Science at the University of Basrah organized a seminar entitled (How does the immune system respond to oral candidiasis) by the Ph. D student: Salih Jabbar Battah

         The current study included: isolating Candida yeast from patients of oral candidiasis, as well as diagnosing the Candida species by studying the morphological, biochemical and molecular characteristics. The study aims to identify the virulence factors of these Candida species diagnosed in this study, and also to identify the immune response against these species of Candida, through conducting laboratory experiments that include culturing white blood cells with these Candida species, where the immune response is measured by increasing the expression of some receptors on the immune cells membrane and the production of cytokines..
