Lecturers at the Department of Ecology Science at the College of Science at Basra University, Dr. Dunya Ali Hussein and Enas Awni Mahdi, participated in the Fourth International Conference on Agriculture and Sustainable Development, which was held by the College of Agriculture at Al-Qasim Green University.

The participation included a paper entitled Improving  wastewater quality by using the Ceratophyllum demersum L.

The research aims to improve the quality of wastewater for the Hamdan sewage plant before it is released to the environment in order to reduce its harmful effects by using environmentally friendly methods represented by the living mass of the Ceratophyllum demersum L.
