The College of Science at the University of Basrah has organized a workshop entitled Renewable and Sustainable Energy Sources. The workshop aimed to introduce the concept of renewable energy, its sources, and the reasons for resorting to it, and how to take the energy efficiency at the University of Basrah to another level.
The workshop, which was attended by the female teacher, Sadad Asaad Mutashar, included the most important renewable energy sources, mentioning their advantages and comparing them with non-renewable energy in terms of impact on the environment and human health.
The workshop recommended the use of clean biofuel sources to obtain a green environment free of pollution.
